He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. 2 Corinthians 5:15 (NLT2)
Have you ever faced a situation that brought you deep despair? Most of life is filled with minor challenges that we work through on our own. Every now and then a big one comes up and we reach out to God for His help to work through it. The goal remains the same, to work through the challenge and get it behind us. We don't think as much about the small challenges when we are burdened by a big one. We tend to live for the big problem and the rest just fades into the background. So if you want to feel less burdened by a bunch of small problems, find yourself a BIG one!
Is there a better way? The answer is "YES"! Jesus died so that we can live for Him, not our problems. Whether you find yourself facing small challenges or great ones, the answer isn't to work through them on your own or to try to get God to work through them with you. The answer is to live for Christ each and every day. It is His new life that Jesus gives us. He doesn't give us more power to live our old one. So if you really want to feel less burdened by problems, small and big, find Jesus and live for Him!
